Episode 199

I have been out for a bit these past few months. I have a senior in high school this year, and it there are lots of surprise engagements when this happens! I have been otherwise occupied for a while, but it looks like I am back in business!

Speaking of a senior in high school, check out the latest episode artwork. This is the first time I have featured artwork made by a human! I have had to resort to AI in the past. I will explain all of this in a bit, but this week's artwork comes from my own baby, Will Ruiz. Make sure to follow for more artwork!

Next week, our own Van Arlo will be playing at the Celestia Theater in Wadsworth. January 17. with The Verve Pipe. I am working on clearing my schedule to head out there. Hope to see you there!

Speaking of Van Arlo. I was tuning in to the news the other morning, and thought my radio had gone whacky and started playing songs from my personal collection. On the contrary, it was  Amanda Rabinowitz interviewing Van Arlo. Totally cool way to start the morning.

I forgot to mention details about The Stepford Five! I got to rambling and totally missed it. They were from Columbus, but I heard about them during the Endlist (hosted by WENZ). I first heard of them when they were 10watt from Bowling Green. Adam Rich sent me a copy of their demo, and I know I have it somewhere, but I totally miss that cassette.

The Stepford Five wrote a book about their adventures, and The Village Buzz got mentioned in it! It's a very cool slice of Ohio music culture in the 90s. I miss those days.
